The Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management (PISLM) is committed to turning national and regional environmental priorities into tangible, on-the-ground results. In Dominica, our projects embody this mission through a coordinated effort to restore degraded lands, strengthen community resilience, and promote sustainable agricultural practices that align with the country’s vision for climate-smart growth.
Each initiative is developed in close collaboration with government ministries, local communities, and regional partners, ensuring that every activity contributes meaningfully to national development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From hillside rehabilitation and forest restoration to water resource management and livelihood diversification, these projects are designed to build both ecological and social resilience.
Beyond the environmental outcomes, our work strengthens institutional frameworks, enhances local capacity, and empowers citizens to become stewards of their own landscapes. By integrating scientific research, traditional knowledge, and innovative technologies, PISLM Dominica’s projects serve as a model for effective, inclusive, and sustainable land management across the Caribbean.
Together, these efforts demonstrate how partnerships, policy alignment, and community action can transform the landscape—protecting natural resources while supporting livelihoods and ensuring a sustainable future for all.
